The course of clinical terminology consists of three parts. The first part contains the description of structure and methodics of making up complex and derived clinical terms that are composed of Greek word parts. The units of this part of the manual include tables of Greek and Latin term elements (combining form, suffixes), their meanings and various practice exercises on «defining the meaning of the clinical notion», «making up the terms» and others. The second part «Glossary» offers the list of word parts in the Latin and English languages with transcriptions to further practice of sound complexes and the meanings of word forming elements in both languages. The «Workbook» covers seven practice units with four variants each to help the learner progress. All exercises are intended for individual work and to be checked in the classroom by the teacher or using answer keys. The manual provides practical aspect as learning terminology by foreign students involves not only understanding clinical terms and word forming lexical items but can also did in learning and remembering a special vocabulary used by health care professionals.
